D&D (2024) Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight could NEVER use a Scroll, and Players CAN'T use Scrolls they've Scribed from Expanded Spell Lists. This is a BUG.

well, no, they can still make those scrolls, it's just that they can't use them - and the absurdity of such is kind of the entire issue. the bladesinging wizard can use them, though (and make them anyway).
To clarify, what I meant was "As they will no longer be able to cast spells from scrolls they will no longer have any incentive to scribe scrolls so that they can rely on infinite spam castings of Shield."

Legend
"If a spell is on a class's spell list, the class's name appears in the parentheses after the spell's school of magic. Some features add a spell to a character's spell list even if the character isn't a member of a class in the parentheses."

The way I read it, The "characters list" is referring to the "class list" in the previous line.
I.e. the parentheses has exceptions.

So any spell you get access to, including subclas, is on your class list and you can use a scroll for it.

And thus the EK and AT have a small class list.
