Board Question - Polls not working.

I have seen several threads over time talk about people not being able to vote on a poll. So far as I can remember I have never seen anyone answer it. Do you know why it does not work? Have you looking into it? Is is in that horrible long list of things to look into? Personally, it seems I can never vote anymore and it is quite annoying.

I've never had any trouble voting. Does it some times work for you, and sometimes not? Or does it never work?

It used to occasionally work, but I can not remember the last time I was actually allowed to vote now.

I get this error :

"vBulletin Message
The action you have attempted could not be performed as your session appears to be invalid. Click the below link to attempt this action again with a new session.
Try this action again!"

No idea why my session would be invalid, it has me logged in fine.

And it is not just me, went back and found a couple short threads on it, until I got tired of going back and looking.

And I don't believe it is a cookies problem, since the boards usually remember me when I look in again on them. And they keep track of which threads I have been to (at least since Morrus took off the ticker).

I've had this problem from time to time too. I've also gotten the 'invalid session' message when trying to post replies, maybe half a dozen times. Usually if I leave the site and come back later, I can post in that thread with no problem, but once I get the 'invalid session' post in a poll, I can never post in it, so far as I can tell. That could be incorrect, because there is a limit to how many times I'll try.

For what it's worth, I haven't seen this error message since you upgraded bandwidth. I don't know enough about techie stuff to know if this could be related, or if I'm juxtaposing two obviously (to others) unrelated things.

I've also had this problem the last 2 times I tried to vote. Can't remember which polls, though.

The last time I tried to vote was after the increase of bandwidth, so at least for me that was not a solution.

Dragongirl, are you on AOL by chance? I think in the past we discovered that this was the problem (that "invalid sessions" thing sounds very familiar). AOL doesn't send out all of your requests on the same IP address, apparently, which makes it hard for the boards to know if you voted, apparently.
