Welcome to Round 4, the Martials Quarter-Finals! We're moving back to the right side of the bracket again, to revisit the Fighter, Ranger, Paladin, and Rogue:

How This Works

• This is the fourth round of elimination, and it will focus only on the four remaining "Martial" classes on the right side of the bracket. The "Caster" semi-finals will be held in a few days.
• There are two contests running simultaneously in this bracket: Fighter vs. Ranger, and Paladin vs. Rogue. This one poll will settle both of them at once.
• Vote for the two classes you would most like to see advance to the next round. Ideally, voters would choose their favorite from each of those contests (vote for either the Fighter or the Ranger, not both). But there's no way to force you to do so if you don't want to, and I think it could make for some fun upsets. So vote however you like!
• Vote for any reason you like, too: personal favorite/least favorite, most/least powerful, most/least fun, oldest/newest, most/least played, etc. Vote for whatever you think makes a class worthy of advancing to the quarter-finals.
• When the poll closes, the votes will be applied to the bracket and the one with the most votes wins. Thus, two of these classes will be eliminated, and two will advance to the Semi-Final round on March 28th.
• In the event of a tie, the winning class will be determined by alphabetical order.
• For the folks playing to win: each correct guess on your bracket is worth 1 point. Scores will be tallied when the poll closes, and posted to the Leaderboard.
• For the folks playing for fun: you can still post your bracket to the Leaderboard thread. You might not win a prize, but you'll still get to join the party.

Unlike the Druid vs. Cleric upset, these two would make sense

Eh. 5e Ranger's not a bad class, it just has the bolted on shiny. Thanks to a certain emo elf, Two-Weapon Fighting has become bound to the Ranger, when it shouldn't really be bound to any class. And if you look at the original source material, Beastmaster should really be filed under Barbarian (or maybe fighter) instead. That just leaves the dedicated bowman/hunter, and Robin Hood really does belong under Ranger.

But the Madness brackets the choices, so when not the favorite, the second favorite matters, and the third and fourth.
