that is an asking price, you will notice it has recieved no bids....

and it looks like this is a corporate demo for wotc, not the one sold at gencon.

As far as i know there was only one preview/demo

the one sold at gencon.

Lupa already stated they have no idea who's doing this and they arent affiliated with VALAR in anyway.

Thus if its "corporate" it would have to be someone from WOTC who was at the meeting where this demo was distributed.

Furthermore that person would prolly get fired or something.

the one who set up the auction IS from Seattle.

"Anthony Valterra - father of adult gaming." That's too good for a simple messageboard acronym to convey--I'm laughing my a$$ off.

...

...I'm gonna buy it.

You're gonna bid on it?

To quote a movie...

"you're braver then I thought.."

And all I can think is, "You paid how much for that Mox...?"

Beauty, and financial worth, are in the eye of the beholder...

$400 might be a lot, but you're overlooking that fact that you also get free shipping!

Actually, the last time I laughed at an Ebay auction, something like $2000 for some painted miniatures, it actually sold.

The person running this auction is counting on some fool whos not net savvy to run across it who doesnt know anything about the OGL or d20 STL or the current situation.

He's hoping they'll see and capitalize on "ordered destroyed..blah blah blah" and snap it up thinking its something huge that they missed.

Edit: Just note a few things.

A photo of the preview cover is NOT listed or shown in the auction. A page count is also not listed so the buyer does not know they are paying 400$ for 32 pages.
Additionally, I posted on the valar forums that I was planning to report the auction to ebay because the title claimed it was the actual book, An hour later it suddenly changed.. (Leading me to belive the person running the auction at least READS those boards).
