While I'm sure MTG has a budget that blows D&D away, it always shocked me just how much more the MTG team seemed to have their act together.

ha ha, D&D is a little tadpole in the big brine cauldron that is MTG.

it's funny that MtG is releasing project themes into 2026 and full lineup through 2024
the D&D side seems so much less planned out

ha ha, I remember some time back fans complained because Wizards put out a tarot deck and not a Deck of Many things. Now they finally put out a deck and now a whole new slew of complaints. Fascinating.

They did put out a Deck of Many Things with the 4e adventure Madness at Gardmore Abbey. It's the art from that deck that's in the 5e DMG.

Does this have one of those annoying outer boxes where you have to tear off a strip (effectively damaging the box) in order to open it?
