Proposed Formats
In order of posting, from the Charity Fundraiser - our own setting search! thread.

I included a quick summary of the many proposals here as a quick reference, since it takes a while to go through the 4 pages of other stuff to get at the format proposals! If I mistated someone's proposal (I tried to make it as brief as possible), please let me know and I will correct it here.

Krug
Collection of 10 page proposals
* Authors can expand to 100 page setting later.

jgbrowning
two books:
1 winning setting book
1 collection of 10 page proposals

Tiefling
Book should include runners up as well. WotC's example indicates there might be 7 10-pagers and 2 100-pagers.

AmerginLiath
Three or four 64-page books.
Three 64-page finalists & one book of 16-page semifinalists.

trix
200-page Player's guide
200-page DM's guide
(developed by several of the participants, one setting)

Morrus
"The final book could have (say) 1 large setting, 3 ten-pagers and 10 one-pagers."

TwentyQuestions
"10 one-pagers, 3 ten-pagers and one 24-page winner would make a nice 64-page book."

fuindordm
Multi-setting book!
* more likely to buy
* no one's put out one of these before
* more likely to be published quickly

My preference would be 128 page book:
64 page winning setting
either 4 sixteen page settings or 3 twenty page settings with a few pages of filler.

One setting only, I'd rather buy a book and use as much as possible (IE: the whole setting) or not buy it at all (don't buy the book).

All the other options have wasted pages if like part of it. The missed proposal people can try and get published elsewhere. If its any good there are plenty of opportunities, what with D20 publishers on every corner and PDF format.
