Book of 9 Swords:Have you gone back to base classes?

Did they by any chance violate the snipped stipulation?

Nope. Full caster levels. (And no PrCs.)

So wait: Everytime you've DMed a cleric, the cleric has been a CoDzilla? Really?

Y'know, Righteous Might and such are not so obscure or inobvious as to count as 'powergaming' just by noticing them and casting them.
Sure! I agree.

BTW: In the past, I've argued Warblades are over-powered. With DMing experience - and by nerfing a few of the manuevers - I've found Warblades to be fine. Put another way, a few poorly balanced manuevers doesn't make the Warblade over-powered.

Wouldn't you agree?

If you agree: Why is a cleric over-powered? You've brought up the spell Righteous Might. So nerf the spell! A few poorly balanced spells doesn't make the Cleric over-powered.

Wouldn't you agree? :heh:

Clerics are overpowered because:

They have good HD.
They can wear all armor without penalty.
They are a full spellcasting class.
They have medium BAB.
They have the best buff spells in the game.
They have access to good direct damage spells.
They have the best healing spells in the game.
They can cast the healing spells without even memorizing them.
They have have even better combat capabilities vs undead.

So, to summarize: 3rd best HD, 2nd best BAB, 1st spellcasting progression, 1st buffs, 3rd direct damage spells, 1st healing, 1st armor, AND additional bonuses against a very common enemy type.

Oh, and their spells very easily compensate for the areas they aren't first in. There's too many spells they have access to that boost melee ability to just nerf them.

That's quite a list. Are you sure you'd like us to break it down?

For example: I note that over half of the list is about spells, and healing appears twice. Clerics are over-powered because they can heal? Perhaps Ftrs are over-powered because they can fight?

Back on-topic: IMC and IME, the Martial Adept classes are worthwhile additions to my game. And yet there are players who play non-ToB:Bo9S fighting classes. They can co-exist (with a few house rules).
