Book of the Righteous

It seems like this book is a must have if religions play a part in your campaign. Which in mine, religion does so I'll have to get this. I've been very happy with my GR purchases so far and I'm looking forward to this one too.

Two of my friends are planning on playing two dwarven clerics in my new campaign. I was wondering if those that have access to this book, would be able to post some information on what Dieties are mainly worshipped by the dwarven race.

Thanks for any info.

There are four deities whose descriptions make specific reference to dwarves as being devoted followers:

Korak - God of smiths, artisans, carpenters, masons, and laborers of all variety. Champion of the dwarven people.

Rontra - Goddess of the earth, plants, farms, dirt, gems, metals, farmers, miners, and all others who revere the earth.

Terak - God of the body, valor, war, physical struggle, unity, and battle.

Maal - God of justice, law, the dead, the Land of the Dead, retribution, lawyers, magistrates, judges, and all others who make their living through the law or have a special love for law.

In addition, two deities are described as being worshipped equally by all five races:

Morwyn - Goddess of healing, wisdom, peace, forgiveness, mothers, and mercy.

Mormekar - God of death, rebirth, the dead, the dying, those who seek to destroy the undead, those seeking rebirth, and the reborn.

Did anyone pick this book up at Gencon, if so could you please post what you thought about it.

I am planning on purchasing it when it comes available in stores. I am going to use the holy warriors as a test replacement for the core paladins in my world, and the deities will be the core pantheon. I appreciate any info you can give me.

Thanks

Hey, yipwyg,

Thank you for the interest. Just to let you know, BotR should be in stores soon. We had a bunch of copies specially shipped to us at Gen Con straight from the printer, so there will be a little lag between Gen Con and availability on store shelves (I would guess another week).

Response to the book at the con was really positive; after a year of writing, it was a terrific experience to start sharing the book with the world. I'm very excited to see how it is received as it becomes more widely available.

If there are any questions about BotR that you'd like to receive an answer to from a completely biased source (namely, me, the author), please ask away and I'll happily provide details.

Regards,

Aaron Loeb
