Book on Religions - Discussion

I dearly love the Lunak idea, though why that would be so will have to be explained if you use it. I think the familair idea is just too stiff a penalty IMHO.
Very cool, imho. Here's just an idea that came from this - what about 4+1d4 weeks, but the DM makes the roll and keeps it secret?

That might be too quirky though :( 6 game time weeks is harsh, but clear and consistant.

I like the consistency of setting an amount of time. One less variable to have to track as a DM.

Does this offset the power of summoning a CR 6 monster with a level 4 spell when others are only summoning CR 3 monsters?

What do you guys think about having spells that only followers of a specific god can use? I know the idea is not original, but I kind of like it. A spell that only divine spellcasters of Kirok, or Naeron, or Adenan can use. It could be crafted specificly for them. I know Forgotten Realms had them in 2E. What about having some in T13K?

It could add more uniqueness to the gods/divine spellcasters and our world.

I like the idea :) Coming up with such spells is a bit of a challenge though hehe. What do you guys think about opening up the thing to open submissions?

Oh I'm all about opening it up to submissions. DMs and even Players can think up cool spells as well as CMs. Sometimes players get very little in creative outlets besides their own character. They may have been thinking about a specific spell for three years... and have refined it or tested into a really great spell. Sometimes its a feat, etc. Many times long time players don't have as much in quantity of ideas but quality. At least that's been my experience in the past.

Northman, any chance you could restructure Adenan to fit the template DM Entropy provides? I think we should have a standard format, and it is easier to change one than five :/

You have a lot of good information that shouldn't be lost, though - subheads might serve your purpose, if you are willing to rewrite it...
