[Boston/Cambridge] Pirate game wrapup - with art!

And Daniel, you're always welcome! I've actually thought about scheduling a trip to Asheville just to slip into your game....

I know ONE THING, Mr. Cat - if you come down to Asheville, ye'd better let me know and I will meet you there! :)

Lemme think about it....

Daniel
sadly, too poor

Daniel - your last name would not be Monaghan by any chance, would it? :) If not, please take no offense. I had a really good friend in high school that moved to Asheville, and he and I were big Tolkien fans (i.e. your sig) and I was just wondering/hoping... :P

One of my favorite lines :

"aarr, grady, I cut off your leg and fed it to you, when I was alive..."

[with massive fawning] "And you were right to do it, yes sir, certainly"

or...

[npc senorita] "I do not ant to be ravished by pirates..."

[first mate] "well, you should stay put to avoid that sad eventuality"

[out of character] "Eventuality?!?"

[first mate] "err......"

No offense at all -- but that's not me. However, if Daniel Monaghan has long red hair, he might well be the other long-red-hair Daniel that travels in my Asheville social circles. Or if he lives with Becca and Jac, then I'd also know him.

The game sounds like it was a blast!

That sounds exactly like the Secret of Monkey Island (tm). Was it inspired by it?

Stan's Used Coffins... ah, the memories...

Hurm - well, it has been nigh on seven years since I saw him last, but you well might know him - none of those names sound familiar, and he had short cropped brown hair the last time I saw him. He used to live with his mom, who was fixing up this cool old house to make it into a B&B - he is really a gem of a guy, I warrant if you knew him, you'd not forget him.

Oh well - any help in finding him would mean the world to me; he was a dear friend. :) Thanks!

I wish I had stayed in Boston while 3e was developing. Then I would have heard about this DM named Piratecat, and perhaps I could have watched them play. But alas, the timing was wrong.

But I'm glad that the friends I made were through role-playing.
