Personally, I'd like to do something dark fantasy-- a little change of pace from my usual fare. I just need the appropriate literary or cinematic inspiration. Maybe a little Dragonslayer...?

Wulf
Perhaps, something along Gene Wolfe lines?

Or even better, China Mieville?

Yee haw! I'm moving myself into that game -- I've been dying to game with Qualidar, but he lives closer than you do and I've been looking forward to trying Deadlands. If you like, I can use my "crazy old prospector" character I generated earlier and you have one less PC to stat up. If that's not convenient, no worries; do whatever works best for you.
Sure! Or you can play a gunfighter like you had wanted. Either way is cool with me. I have *nothing* but a few rough ideas ready yet, but I do have a whole week off to work on it.

It looks like at this point we have enough morning games, but if things change I can run it then too. Or I'll just pull the afternoon shift, either way.

This may be just the motivation I needed to get comfortable with the game...I'm a little nervous, but I'll give it my best.

Well, can't do the morning slot, but sign me up for Wulf's Grim Tales thing. I enjoyed the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen quite a bit last time I was there.

Not to rain on the parade, or anything, but the date is JANUARY 29th, not DECEMBER 29th
No rain at all, Silveras, my mind was in the right month even in my mouth was not :) There's no way I'd be ready by Dec 29. What I meant was that I have the week between Christmas and New Years off (my company pretty much shuts down), so that gives me a FULL week to work on things, then another month on top to boot (which I'll no doubt need).

My problem is I'm a horrible slacker when it comes to finding time to ready my games after a long work day and usually horrible commute into the city. Most weeks I sit down to prepare a session the saturday morning right before the game. This will require WAY more than that since it is a system I don't play on a regular basis.

I'm really getting psyched to run this...now just the pesky details of actually coming up with a game :)

I'd like to sign up for Wulf's Grim Tales game as well (by my count, I make 5, but let me know if I'm wrong).

thanks,
Nick

Uh oh, I reckon things are a-fillin' up quick (I'm practicing my old west slang). Best pick our slots...

Djeta and I would like to get into Capellan's 'Spaceship Zero' game in the AM slot, and she'll be in my Deadlands game in the PM.

Three Page Confusion

Please help!

Can someone (P-Cat?) break down what games are running, what games have vacancies and do you need another GM to run?

I just read through the three pages and my big bald head is spinning!

Kev, if you need another GM, I have a DragonMech adventure just waiting to be inflicted on some players!

Anyway, can anyone sum up?

Thanks!

-Tom

Ok, count me in. Though still flexible, my top choices would be Spaceship Zero in the morning, and a slight preference for Deadlands in the afternoon, though frankly, all the afternoon games sound like they'd be a blast.

And I'll come for breakfast too.

I don't think I know Kajamba Lion yet, but based on the rest of that mob I'm guessing something with some deadly combat is in order...

Maybe I should take 7 players and do a Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven kind of set piece...

FYI, CarlZog, when making recommendations, as a good rule of thumb, if the author is still alive, I probably haven't read him. ;)

Keeps me from getting trapped in never-ending Robert Jordan-type black holes of reading I don't have time for.

EDIT: Please reserve one spot in my game for my fiancee.

Wulf
