*Rhys heads to Irene's side and readies an attack in case the beast comes in range, though with its reach, it probably will not. Still he figures he might as well.*

*The creature surprises everyone by making a strange clacking and then instantly vanishing and reappearing ten feet away from Irene on the opposite side from Rhys and the others, where it unleashes a barrage of powerful attacks on the little halfling. Unfortunately for Irene, she hadn't placed her magical force armour atop her unprotected chest, and so the creature, fortune on its side, rips into her with little difficulty with all but a single claw, leaving her in a very dire state, poison pumping through her veins.*

(OOC: You don't need to cast on the defensive--it moved 10 feet from her other side, so it can't hit you if you go from the opposite side. On the other hand, her body and the camel provide it cover from a charge, so nobody in the party can both move and attack it this round either)

So if understand you, i can't move and cast CLW. In that case Findoram will only move towards Irene.

(OoC: Irene will have tried to Spellcraft whatever magic the scorpion was using when he blinked the small area (Spellcraft, +12 (+2 Illusion, -5 Evocation/Necromancy)). Also, was the Fort save versus the poison?)

Being taken by surprise by the scorpion, Irene drops to the floor, things going black yet again for the her. As her eyes close and the blood leaves her body through the wounds, all she can do is hope for her partymembers to save her before it's too late.
