First Post
Okay, here's all the bowls, with increbily inaccurate preditions on the winner

Wyndham New Orleans at New Orleans, La.
North Texas vs. Southern Miss
Southern Miss - this shouldn't be close.

Champs Sports at Orlando, Fla
Syracuse vs. Georgia Tech
Syracuse - Would rather see this in basketball

GMAC at Mobile, Ala.
Memphis vs. Bowling Green
Memphis - whoever has the ball last, wins.

PlainsCapital Fort Worth at Fort Worth, Texas
Cincinnati vs. Marshall
Cincinnati - neither team is all that good, but Cinci has come on late.

Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas at Las Vegas
UCLA vs. Wyoming
UCLA - If they play half as well as they did against USC, Bruins win a cakewalk

Sheraton Hawaii at Honolulu
Hawaii vs. UAB
Hawaii - Has huge home-field advantage; will use it.

MPC Computers at Boise, Idaho
Fresno State vs. Virginia
Virginia - Fresno's had some good teams, but not this year.

Motor City at Detroit
Toledo vs. Connecticut
Toledo - Should be a good game.

Independence at Shreveport, La.
Iowa State vs. Miami (Ohio)
Miami (Ohio) - Will never pick the Big 12 North to win again.

Insight at Phoenix
Oregon State vs. Notre Dame
Oregon State - Beavers have more talent, no coaching issues, and a shorter flight.

EV1.net Houston at Houston, Texas
Colorado vs. UTEP
UTEP - See Independence

MasterCard Alamo at San Antonio, Texas
Ohio State vs.Oklahoma State
Ohio State - This may be a highly biased pick.

Continental Tire at Charlotte, N.C.
Boston College vs. North Carolina
North Carolina - Usually a better basketball game.

Emerald Bowl at San Francisco, Calif.
Navy vs. New Mexico
Navy - Go Navy, Beat, err, New Mexico.

Pacific Life Holiday at San Diego, Calif.
Texas Tech vs. Cal
Cal - Might think about getting tickets for this one, if my D&D group doesn't play that night.

Silicon Valley at San Jose Calif.
Northern Illinois vs. Troy
Northern Illinois - mediocre Sun Belt teams should not be playing in the postseason.

Gaylords Hotels Music City at Nashville, Tenn.
Alabama vs. Minnesota
Alabama - Tide should win handily.

Vitalis Sun at El Paso, Texas
Arizona State vs. Purdue
Arizona State - This really depends on the health of the two QBs, and some of their recievers.

AutoZone Liberty at Memphis, Tenn.
Louisville vs. Boise State
Louisville - Cardinals will win Big East football title before they contend for basketball title.

Chick-fil-A Peach at Atlanta, Ga.
Miami vs. Florida
Miami - Zook unlikley to get Gators up for two post-firing rivalry games.

Outback at Tampa, Fla.
Georgia vs. Wisconsin
Wisconsin - Bulldogs are overrated.

SBC Cotton at Dallas, Texas
Texas A&M vs. Tennessee
Tennessee - Either one of the freshman QBs will be back, or Clausen will have a month to practice; the team that hung with Auburn for 3 quarters should beat A&M

Toyota Gator at Jacksonville, Fla.
West Virginia vs. Florida State
Florida State - Wish I could pick Mountaineers here.

Capital One at Orlando, Fla.
Iowa vs. LSU
Iowa - Hawkeyes win a tough one.

Rose at Pasadena, Calif.
Michigan vs. Texas
Michigan. But Texas is still better than Oklahoma.

Tostitos Fiesta at Tempe, Ariz.
Utah vs. Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh. Utah really should win. But Panthers have more to prove than Utes do, and won't have coaching issues.

Nokia Sugar at New Orleans, La.
Auburn vs. Virginia Tech
Auburn. What this one comes down to is that I just don't like Virginia Tech.

FedEx Orange at Miami, Fla.
USC vs. Oklahoma
USC. Not as close as the experts think.

Dunno about this one...BC is pretty good (notwithstanding the SU loss). They will have their starting quarterback back by bowl time.

Why is TX better than OU?

It's more of a "feel" thing, but in my opinion, Texas' recent losses to OU are mostly due to psychological issues (similar to Ohio State's losses to Michigan in the Cooper era), not superior talent. Oklahoma got every break in their game, and Texas still would have won if they had a kicker they trusted to make a long FG.

I think USC is going to try to win so soundly that someone gives then the 2003 BCS Championship trophy as well ;)

Wyndham New Orleans at New Orleans, La.
North Texas vs. Southern Miss
Don't care.

Champs Sports at Orlando, Fla
Syracuse vs. Georgia Tech

UCLA vs. Wyoming

Hawaii vs. UAB

I'll be pulling for the 'dogs, but the Cavs will probably win it.

Motor City at Detroit
Toledo vs. Connecticut
Don't care.

Independence at Shreveport, La.
Iowa State vs. Miami (Ohio)
Don't care.

Insight at Phoenix
Oregon State vs. Notre Dame
Oregon State - I'd rather they played the game someplace foggy, though.

EV1.net Houston at Houston, Texas
Colorado vs. UTEP
Don't care.

MasterCard Alamo at San Antonio, Texas
Ohio State vs.Oklahoma State
Don't care.

Continental Tire at Charlotte, N.C.

Emerald Bowl at San Francisco, Calif.
Navy vs. New Mexico
Navy - best team since the Staubach era.

Pacific Life Holiday at San Diego, Calif.
Texas Tech vs. Cal
Cal - they're going to be taking out their frustrations on anything with the word "Texas" in it for the next month.

Silicon Valley at San Jose Calif.
Northern Illinois vs. Troy
Don't care.

Gaylords Hotels Music City at Nashville, Tenn.
Alabama vs. Minnesota
Don't care.

Vitalis Sun at El Paso, Texas
Arizona State vs. Purdue
Arizona State - Sun Devils, Sun Bowl. It's a lock. (That, and Purdue has itself firmly by the throat and won't let go.)

AutoZone Liberty at Memphis, Tenn.
Louisville vs. Boise State
Boise State, by a score of 9-3. ;)

Chick-fil-A Peach at Atlanta, Ga.
Miami vs. Florida
Don't care.

Georgia vs. Wisconsin
Don't care.

SBC Cotton at Dallas, Texas
Texas A&M vs. Tennessee
Don't care.

Toyota Gator at Jacksonville, Fla.
West Virginia vs. Florida State
Don't care..

Capital One at Orlando, Fla.
Iowa vs. LSU
Iowa - Saban and the Tigers got a gift last year, so I really want to see the Hawkeyes hand LSU its own ass in a big way.

Rose at Pasadena, Calif.
Michigan vs. Texas
Normally I'd pull for any team to beat Michigan, but in this case, I'm sorry only one team can lose, so ultimately, don't care.

Tostitos Fiesta at Tempe, Ariz.
Utah vs. Pittsburgh
Don't care.

Nokia Sugar at New Orleans, La.
Auburn vs. Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech. What this one comes down to is that I just don't like Auburn.

FedEx Orange at Miami, Fla.
USC vs. Oklahoma

Truer words are not often spoken. SC may bend but won't break.

Fight on!

Let's hope you know your football better than your basketball. Louisville was in the Final Four last year, and if that wasn't contending I don't know what is.

EDIT: I hate Louisville on principal being a UK alumni, but even I'll give the cards their due.

That was supposed to be a bit of irony; traditional basketball power L'ville will likely move into the Big East and win a conference title in football before they do in basketball. I should note that confernce titles mean less in basketball than they do in football, at least in major conferences.

Still, the current C-USA is a pretty good hoops league (though the post-2004/2005 season one is just a practicing ground for Memphis), but it's not the Really Big East. Of the sixteen teams -- Connecticut, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall, Syracuse, Villanova, West Virginia, Cinci, L'ville, DePaul, Marquette, and South Florida -- only South Florida and maybe West Virginia can be counted on as free wins for a good team.

Eh. UNC's played a harder schedule (they're in the ACC and played Utah and Louisville out of conference), and they're essentially playing at home (Charlotte). BC had a really weak schedule IMO — I mean, aside from ND, Pitt, and West Virginia, who did they play? It could be a close game depending on whether the Tarheel defense decides to show up or not. If they do, I'm calling "rout." I'm slightly biased (I went to UNC for my MA), but BC's just not impressed me very much.
