boxed set printing

Hey all, I am wondering if anyone knows of resources or discussions on the costs of printing boxed sets aka the Mentzer editions of D&D. This is regarding a small project I am working on as an introduction to rpgs in small modular boxes that gradually add more rules to a game I've been designing to fill a in niche in the market of possibly a low cost introductory product to rpgs for everyone but to also encourage parents to buy them to help kids and teens learn about cooperation, simple math skills and social skills

I was inspired thinking about the old basic sets and how they helped introduce gaming and the benefits I experienced gaming and how they helped me improve my grades etc. Thanks.

I can't help directly, but you could perhaps consider contacting Jim Raggi (of "Lamentations of the Flame Princess" fame) - he's done at least one boxed set, so might be able to help you out.
