Bracelet of friends overpowered?

Is it just me, or is a bracelet of friends an awfully good way of abducting people for the price? You can only get people you know. And they show up with their gear, but that's not by any means an insurmountable problem when they also show up separated from anybody who might be inclined to help them.

Unwilling targets get a saving throw, but it takes a while before one can just shrug off a DC 19 save. It takes even longer before you can count on shrugging off seven of them, which is how many charges the bracelet has.

All this for just 4,500 gp or so.

I'm guessing that "Bracelet of Abduction" didn't go over too well with the test groups. Sounds like a great way to get your friends out of jail, or grapples, or remorahz bellies :)

I could certainly see an evil wizard calling the party members away one by one. T'would be much easier to slay them that way.

I think that a higher price, or lower DC, is not a bad idea.

I made a slight house rule with this item, I made it so the person being 'configured' to the item had to be within 30 feet of you when being set to a charm, and you also can't have the same person on more than one charm at a time (you can however, re-add them after their charm has been used, if you have remaining slots)

It does seem to be a little over-powered, doesn't it? I would simply make it where the bracelet couldn't summon unwilling targets at all, only those that have pledged before the item that they will come to help when needed.

Yep, I noticed this one too.

It's particularly deadly when you summon someone into a hostile environment: deep underwater, lava lake, airless void etc. ;)

Ok, that is just way too powerful. That turns it into seven DC(19) death spells with unlimited range and no line-of-effect limitations. I don't want my PC's making one of these then using a simple Fly spell to summon their enemies into the middle of the sky!

A simple solution would be to say that a creature must be willing to be set as the target for a charm. The save comes into effect if you're in the middle of creating a magic item, trying to save your fiancee from a dragon, or otherwise engaged in important business (stuck on the garderobe?) that you really don't want to be 'called away' from.
