Bracers of Epic Armor

My apologies if this has already been asked and answered (I suspect it has)

In the DMG Bracers of Armor have a cap at +8. In the ELH, they begin at +11. What happened to +9 and +10? Are those bonuses Epic or no?

This was not mentioned in the errata for the DMG and, I was unable to find errata for the ELH. Also, the questions@wizards.com address kept retuning my mail as undeliverable.

Any informed answers would be appeciated.

The +9, +10 bracers are considered non-epic. Several NPCs (non-epic) have had them in published books (FR comes to mind). While the bracers in the DMG only list prices for up to +8, the formula scales easily and the ELH pretty much assumes you can figure out how much they cost.

Interesting... I thought I saw inthe Arms and Equipment Guide that Bracers went up to +8 enhancement bonus to armour, and beyond that bonus was Epic...

That tome also said you caould add other properties (armour properties that is, such as fortification) to the bracers. That the total limit for Non-epic items was therefore +13 (for example, Bracers +8 of heavy fortification)
