Level Up (A5E) Breaking Down the Land Druid

Legend
I’ve always felt that the trouble with the Land Druid was that it wasn’t sufficiently evocative, relying too heavily on expanded spell casting for flavor and covering too many potential design spaces. As such, I’ve half a mind to make a series of druid subclasses that more or less use the land druid divisions as a basis and then provide branching paths for more specific biomes.

However, I’d like to get some thoughts on which biomes ought to be covered, and what abilities should be ascribed to each. Below is my draft of a division:

Ocean
  • Open Sea
  • Abyssal Deep
  • Coral Reefs
  • Tidal Pools

Forest
  • Temperate Woodland
  • Jungle
  • Taiga

Grassland
  • Savanna
  • Steppe

Wetland
  • Swamp
  • Marsh
  • Peatland

Desert
  • Hot (e.g. Sahara)
  • Cold (e.g. Gobi)

Arctic
  • Tundra
  • Ice Caps

Stone? (I’m having a hard time naming this one)
  • Mountain
  • Cavern
  • Urban
