D&D 5E (2024) Bringing back the 5th level spell Far Step

So Far Step which was in Xanathar's Guide was a 5th level spell with 1 minute concentration duration and the ability to teleport 60 feet as a bonus action for every one of those rounds.

Theoretically it's like being able to cast a longer range Misty Step 10 times. But I noticed that many subclasses built around special teleportation features (like Archfey Warlock) are specific in that it has to be with Misty Step. So it's not abusable as I originally thought it was.

So is it worth it being a 5th level spell with the same duration and range now?

I'll look at this in two ways, inside a fight and in exploration.

1) Inside a fight: As a concentration spell, its already competing with every other tom, dick, and harry concentration spell for utility. The ability to teleport every round and get out of grapples, move out of melee with the big nasty, etc.... that's an awesome ability.

Is it better than the myriad of other concentration spells a 9th level caster can do....nah. I think its a perfectly reasonable spell. Now if you wanted to drop concentration or its levle, entirely different conversation. But as is I don't see the issue.

2) Exploration: Teleporation is a tremendous effect for exploration, offers all sorts of benefits to get into places your not supposed to go. But I generally find that two teleports is the sweet spot, one to get to the thing, one to get out. Beyond that, a lot of teleports isn't that amazing.

If Far step was an hour duration, might have more concerns, as that is a lot of exploration. For 1 minute, its basically one scene or area. So i can do a few teleports and that's nice, but compared to just using 2 2nd level misty steps vs my 1 5th level spell...the value isn't that high.

In summary: I think its just fine.

The thing I wonder is 5th level just right for such a spell or should it have been 4th or 6th level.
Per WotC update rules, it will still need to be a level 5 spells.

But at 5th level, I think buff it slightly to 10 minutes concentration, with upcasting options.
I.e.
6th level: concentration 1 hour
7th: increase distance to 90'
8th: concentration until you take a long rest.
9th: no concentration, 120'
