O'Driscoll's been dropped ... Harsh, I feel: he's a player you can rely on to produce some magic when it's backs-against-the-wall-time, and I feel he would have benefitted from having someone like Tuilagi or Jamie Roberts inside him.
As it is, this Lions XV probably lacks the guile to beat Australia: I don' think the Ozzies are going to let them get away with bashing up the midfield and kicking penalties. I would have loved to see a combination of strength, brains and speed in the backs, and I think the mostly Welsh players don't offer enough of the latter two qualities.
But we'll see on Saturday ...
