Monty Python's Flying Circus - But of course. :p

Spooks: MI5 - In my opinion, this is how esponiage TV should be done. Sorry to fans of Alias and 24, but this one blows them out of the water.

Had to leave MP 'cause I love it as well.

I agree. I like Alias (until its lame ending) and 24 but Spook/MI-5 is a GREAT show!

Have a good one! Take care!

No-one's mentioned Spaced, and that's an ideal programme for the enworld crowd. It's essentially the same team who did Shaun of the Dead - same actors, same writer, similar characters, just as funny. Don't know if it's been exported, but considering Shaun's success, it shouldn't have problems finding a distributor if it has.

Talking of British exports, I like to show my far-eastern friends Blackadder. They only know Rowan Atkinson from Mr. Bean, and are amazed to see him in a completely different role.

Saturday's episode of Doctor Who made me wish I knew current British telly a bit better. I haven't got any idea who Peter Kay is.

Peter Kay is a british comedian, probably the funniest man on British telly at the moment. (Obviously imo) Starred and wrote Pheonix Nights which i can reccommend, though im not sure if it would travel too well. I cant imagine his live act would go down that well abroad, a lot is uniquely british.

There's a new Sharpe? Who's in it?

Sharpe's Challenge, starring Sean Bean, Daragh O'Malley (Harper) and Toby Stephens (he was the villain in Die Another Day).

It's based on the three 'prequel' books (Sharpe's Tiger, Sharpe's Devil and Sharpe's Fortress, I believe), but is itself set 2 years after Waterloo. I thought it was pretty good, although not the best in the series (which I feel works best with all the Chosen Men about - gives a real "D&D party" feel to things).

The DVD is rubbish though. (It was initially shown in two parts, as it's too long for one night. Of course, the first part has a "Next on Sharpe" bit, and the second a "Previously on Sharpe". Of course, on the DVD, you would expect them to remove these, and edit the parts together, but no. Worse still, they then chose to place the layer change not in the sensible between-episodes point, but instead placed it half an hour into the second part. Add a lack of sound above stereo, and distinctly lacking features, and it's just a bad, bad DVD IMO.)

As my avatar name might imply, I am huge Black Adder fan. I also have to give a shout out for old school Dr. Who, new school Dr. Who, Red Dwarf, Coupling, and The Office (which is, IMHO, the funnest show EVER to be seen on T.V.)

Peter Woodward "conquest" is good for Jr. high kids education level. I give high marks because Peter has stated since he is star of show he gets to win. But sometimes his facts are wrong, or he only focusing on one item and ignoring the other stuff.
Ok what the shows that get rewritten for U.S.A. tv. Ex Office, Whose line is anyway? etc
