Last of the Summer Wine is pretty funny. And of course, there's Monty Python

A few that spring to mind: Coupling, Dear John, Red Dwarf, As If.jasper said:Ok what the shows that get rewritten for U.S.A. tv. Ex Office, Whose line is anyway? etc

I love(d) Coupling when it aired on German TV. Unfortunately, the current broadcaster for it isn't available on Cable, so I haven't seen it in a while, except for the few occassions where I was at home by my parents (who have satellite)...Henry said:One show that no one seemed to like, but my wife and I loved, was Coupling. The American remake was HORRIBLE (lasted one episode, which I watched and can see why), but the original British run of the two seasons (series?) was hilarious to us. Richard Coyle was great in that series - mostly comic timing.
In format, yes (bunch of friends hang in the neighborhood pub and get into stupd situations), but the material was a heck of a lot better, to us - and there's a lot of humor that wouldn't have made it by american censors.
