Broken link

Baragos

First Post
Hi

I posted a review earlier today, worked at the time...now it doesn't...leading to this place instead: http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/11/11591.phtml?nobuy=1

Oh, and I posted it using my username (Baragos), not my real name, but under the product in question (Dark Legacies Campaign Guide) it is my real name that appears.

Even more strange is that fact that THIS link works, using my username, not my real name...: http://www.enworld.org/reviews.php?

can someone sort this out for me?

As a further bit of information, I edited the review, so could it be that the first link links to the first, now non-existing review?

On the front page I see two locations that link to that review, the news item I posted from the 21st that mentions your review ( http://www.enworld.org/reviews.php?do=review&reviewid=2593143 ) and the place on the right in the "Recent Reviews" sidebar ( http://www.enworld.org/reviews.php?do=review&reviewid=2593143 ) which will soon be off of the front page as newer reviews dislodge it from its place of prominence. The links are identicle and in both cases the links function properly, though admittedly the first link you have in the first post in this thread does not function, is clearly different from the link I used, and is also quite different from any link I have ever used in the last few months of Newshounding I have handled.

The second link in your first post goes to the page with "Most Recent 30 Reviews" and the link on that page ( http://www.enworld.org/reviews.php?do=review&reviewid=2593143 ) to your review is identicle to the two on the front page.

The news item ( http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=149445 ) I originally posted doesn't appear to have been edited.

What is it that you are hoping will be done?

Could someone in the know answer my post?
Dude, have some patience. When you posted that, the original post hadn't been up for half an hour yet. It's not like there's 24-hour surveillance on Meta.

I think what Baragos is referring to is this broken link (see customer comments) associated with him, which I don't think enworld has any control of. It looks like it's an auto-genrated link to a review on rpgnet that hasn't gone live yet. I'm guessing it'll probably be active once the review is.

I don't know what it says on your end, but according to my computer more than 72 hours passed between the original post and my "Could someone in the know answer my post?".

Perhaps I should have waited longer, but I don't think asking for a response or just a "I'm looking into it" after 3 days is impatient...

I think Staffan and Spoony Bard were looking at the time stamp, and not the date stamp. You posted at almost the same time on different days, so the postings look to be in rapid succession.

I don't know why the post was neglected for three days, but these things happen.
