And he still hadn't corrected the original title (it's not "Pact des Loupes", but "Le Pacte des Loups" -- in French, "loupe" means "magnifying glass", so you can imagine that a "covenant of the magnifying glasses" is not exactly a story about giant wolves). And no, "loupe" is not the feminine form of "loup", since a she-wolf is a "louve".

Everyday you learn something.

Spoiler Alert

Wasnt it a Lion, and not a Wolf as Andy Collins web page suggests? Considering its size (and the fact that its a lion) I would use the Dire Lion Stats.

I'm not concerned with the details of French grammar or whether it was a lion, a tiger or a bear (oh my!). :D

I just thought the new feat, weapon and armor were cool enough that other gamers would want to use them. I didn't think this would turn into a nitpick session. :(

Awww, we're not nitpicking....we're trying to help you make your page better.

I'm sure everyone will disagree about exactly what the Beast was, which is a good thing. I'm glad they didn't spell it out.

As far as I'm concerned, though, the Beast was a lion. Evidence? The chain-sword dude mentioned being attacked by a lion in Africa. The creature's roar, movements, and general shape reminded me of a big cat. Its eyes were feline. Lastly, right before it was killed you clearly saw that it had a mustard yellow coat.
