BtVS Spoilers (02/03/03)

My fiance brought up the same point. However since the town is frequented by vampires, demons and other ancient evils (not mention the Hellmouth), I don't think a lone gun sitting in the backyard of the Summer's household will become a plot issue.

But you never know...

Besides, that's one of the first guns ever in Buffy, I'm sure that no one even knows how to use them.

Heck, if Warren had simply bought a rifle, the story would be over now :)

Was it last season or two years ago where Spike was all mad at Buffy and was going to kill her with a shotgun, but then when he got to her house she was out back crying and he put the shotgun down on the back porch and went to consul her... leaving the gun sitting out side.

There was also the time Zandar got split in two and the weak Zandar went and got a gun to kill the confident Zandar at the apartment... :)

Last night was an pretty good I think, I really liked the mention of comics and the Giles comment about not touching young girls on a camping trip as evil...

And the initiative used guns all the time, and Hans and Franz the german twins used guns to hunt buffy and cordelia in season 3, and Buffy used a rocket launcher in season 2, and guns are used somewhat often in Angel, and the ghost that killed his teacher girlfriend in season two shot her, and Ethan Rayne (?) used one to capture Buffy I believe, and Xander turned into a soldier with an assault rifle in season 2....

Every time there's a plot with a gun on Buffy, people act like it has never happened before.

The initiative never really did well with their "guns". I think most of them were tranq or electric...

Whatisname was gonna shoot himself with a rifle, a rocket launcher really is just plain silly, Xander's toy gun became real or something like that.

Guns are minimized in Buffy, otherwise the villains would probably have won long ago :)

Once again, Andrew provided my favorite line of the episode: "If you leave me here all alone, I'll...do something evil. Like set something on fire, or...oh! glue stuff together!"

Overall a good ep. The Giles thing was ok. Kennedy is an alright charecter, but i don't see her as a love intrest for Willow, her standareds are usually higher. As for Buffy, it doesn't make sense for her to get the chip fixed as Spike is basically good (as much as any of us anyway) and The First seems to be able to bypass it, just get it out of the way.

I see Buffy getting the chip removed, and Spike being angry about it - for the same reason he chained himself in the basement. He doesn't trust himself yet. He may have a soul, but he isn't certain that he can control himself.

Well, this I think is the first season that any of the main characters could even legally own or purchase a firearm (21 years old for a pistol in California, 18 for a rifle or shotgun), they probably never thought to do so. :) They could have obtained them illegally, but they don't seem to really work on vampires anyway (have to stake them in the heart or cut off their head).

Yeah Darla went all John Woo on Buffy in the magic shop, nothing beats the rocket launcher, it was so doom, can anyone say Demon chunky salsa.

I wasn't fond of the episode, it lacked ummph, I know a very scientific explanation, but the Willow pathos was so overbearing.
Can anyone say amy+stated motives=weak, lets hope there is something more there. Also did the commercial breaks seem longer than normal?
