Ya, I guess Giles show just got canceled.

Well, I guess that proves that all the girls we saw being killed early in the season were pre-slayers. At least /someone/ is investigating this. Why hasn't he called buffy yet and told her about this?

Unless we find out down the road that he rolled away at the last second. I know Giles isn't any Angel or Buffy when it comes to hand-to-hand but he's no slouch either. Of course if he's facing the same guys that are offing potential Slayers...

And is it the Slayer candidates that the other Watcher wanted him to gather? That would explain why they're getting killed. They're needed (or one of them and they don't know which) to defeat the Big Bad. Why?

And I just have to say, Giles has a way of making entrances on this show that I just love. In season 4 or 5, the halloween episode, "Fear Itself", he chainsaws through the door and kicks the remnants open. Last year, he busts in and fireballs willow. The show really suffers when Giles isn't on it. Luckily, he's been signed for a half-dozen episodes this years, so unless he's doing cameos as 'third coma guy from the left', we know he probably avoids that axe

I have it on good authority that Giles is being warded by a magical spell and that we have a truely kick butt battle opening next weeks episode.

Well, I hope that is how next weeks episode will start

Ya, Giles isn't getting killed. I think that's a very safe assumpotion for a long while. So, we finally have confirmation on the women getting killed and their link to the watchers. So, will Giles gather them and take them to Buffy's place? Are we going to get teenaged forenign exchange student slumber parties? Will this be why Buffy doesn't choose Dawn, she chooses one of the other girls?
