Buffy question

I've been picking up buffy watching but see the episodes in no really linear order (damn fx...) So I ws wondering if someone would fill in a gap.

In the episodes taking place in the Gang's senior year, Willow has apparently been accepted to every prestigious college she could possibly want to go to. At one point she's talking early admission. Then when I catch the start of the next season, she's at sunnydale U with buffy?

Is this a bizzare plot hole, or is there some point at which willow specificly decides to toss her acedemic potential aside in favor of a life as buffy's sidekick? (or to be at the same college as her bf, but he's supposed to be brainy himself...)

Yes, it is discussed in one episode. Willow specifically decides to stay in Sunnydale for a number of reasons. She wants to be near Buffy, she wants to be near the danger so she can help. She wants to study magic, for which the school of hard knocks (and a Hellmouth) are better teachers than a University, etc.

[edit: Oh, and she isn't exactly throwing her academic potential aside. She is going to a university, and UC Sunnydale isn't a bad school, aside from the vampires and demons and all... ]

Rather than starting my own thread of Buffy-ness, I'll post here.

I've been trying to follow the Harmony trail. But since I'm watching reruns on F/X, again in no particular order, it's kind of hard.

Let's see. What I've been able to figure out so far:

Harmony starts out as a sidekick of Cordelia.

At some point, she's the girlfriend of Spike, but still a human.

During graduation, she's one of the casualties.

Later on, she's a vampire with really stupid plans.

Have I got the chronology correct?

Also, can I get a list of the Big Bads for each season? Is this correct?

Season 1: The Master

Season 2: Angel?

Season 3: The Mayor?

Season 4: Adam?

Season 5: Glory?

Season 6: Warren, Jonathan and Andrew

Season 7: The First

I know that the Big Bads have included: The Mayor, Angel, Adam, and Glory. Let's see, Angel hit before the Mayor (since Faith was trying to seduce Angel back to the dark side). And I believe Adam hit before Glory... It's hard following the program without a, umm, program...

Not quite. She got vamped before she hooked up with Spike. There was also a bit where she was the leader of Cordy's former clique and was mean to Cordy on account of her hanging out with Xander.

That's mostly right. Season 6 some people really consider Willow the big bad.

I'm not sure she was vamped in the graduation day brawl. I believe she said in whatever 4th season ep that re-introduced her as a vamp that her parents had sent her to England after graduation and she hooked up with this guy there. "This guy" being Spike, of course.

Unless I'm having a brain fart, but that's how I remember it.

Harmony vamps out and bites Willow. {After the credits} Oz saves Willow and then Harmony mentions she has a new boyfriend too. But we don;t find out who it is until the end of act 1.
