Looks like Charles Ryan is joining Rich Redman in the d20 Modern site's column support.

It's actually not a bad read, moderately informative and interesting.

I'm just happy to see, so far, an 'ok' effort in the e-support for this product.

We knew for some time now, that Charles Ryan will host a Q&A web column, as JD Wiker have done for Star Wars RPG web site (called Jedi Counseling).

IIRC, he was asking the posters on the Wizards' messageboard to think up a title for his d20 Modern web column.

That was a neat column. I don't know much about guns. Okay, I don't know anything about guns. But I understood his reasoning. It was pretty similar to the reasoning that led to a "standard" for D&D weapons. A medium martial weapon does 1d8 damage and has one special feature. That feature might be an improved critical damage multiplier, an improved critical threat range, or a bonus to trip attacks. So no one weapon is the absolute bestest there is, and there's a reason for someone to use an axe instead of a longsword, beyond roleplaying.
