Burning Man

What's a reverend doing at a festivel devoted to drugs and debauchery?

Well, first of all, I think you misunderstand the nature of the event. Yeah, there's a lot of drugs and debauchery there, but it's also about community, about art, about catharsis... it's very spiritual.

Secondly, speaking of debauchery (root: of or from Bacchus), my patron deity is Bacchus.

Leavin' on Sunday afternoon, to make sure I am out there in time for a lunar eclipse at 2 a.m. on Monday morning.

CAN'T WAIT!!! :D

Deuce, maybe we'll meet out there- I should be camped around 4 and E. We're going to try to rendezvous with our peeps that we miss initially by meeting at the Man at dusk; more specifically, at the corner where the road leading from Center Camp to the Man hits the Man's central circle.

I read that they had over 1000 bikes donated for a the local yellow bike project for the playa (great idea).

In typical fashion, the bikes will be painted green with red letters denoting 'YELLOW BIKE'

Gotta love it...

I ended up not going. :( I heard the tickets were $500 and that pretty much ended it for me as I didn't have that much pocket cash. I thought this artsy thing was supposed to be spontaneous and non-commercialized and was planning just to show up with 100 bucks, a backpack, and tons of bottled water. Ah well. How was it?
