Buying a used hard drive

The issue with this one is, the guy selling it is a college student who has traded up for a newer computer, so I figured it might be fair. And I'm on a tight budget, but I'm getting to the point where I can't keep relying on my 6 gig hard drive. But it doesn't matter, because he already sold the thing.

I think I have a 20 or 30 lying about I'm not using. Might be SCSI, though. I'll check this weekend.
