Buzz on Aces and Eights?

Mark-

I've a few questions. Do you need the showdown rules as well as the main book to play, or is showdown just a combat excerpt? Also, will you guys have the poster maps available at Gen Con at all??

Thanks!

No, you don't need both. Showdown is a "lite" version with just some of the shoot-em-up rules and none of the RPG material.

Unfortunately, no, we will not have any maps at GenCon. Those are only available on CafePress (I think).

David's right.

Keep in mind that the CafePress maps are not required to play the game. They're just larger versions of the maps in the book, for those that want them.

The maps are a bit on the expensive side, but they do look neat.

I'm excited about this game now. :)

You and me both. ;) I don't know how any western fan can't get at least a little excited after looking at the preview PDFs.
or even a non-western fan. I must admit, in the past I really didn't have any interest in a Western RPG, but this one is on my list of games to get and try!

Another vote for "excited." :) And I especially like that the maps will be available in a deluxe format. Very nice! :)

Update: The truck with our new products was in Nebraska as of yesterday, so we should be receiving them early next week.

I plan to ship the Aces & Eights RPG to distributors as soon as possible after the truck is unpacked.
