Caapora!

Before anybody asks, no, I did not create these creatures entirely. The caapora is apparently a goblin in Brazilian folklore; it's referenced in the excellent book The Violent Lands, by Jorge Amado.

Anyway, the standards about commenting, critiquing, offering to pay vast sums for my talents ;) still apply.

The creature before you is a goblinoid thing, with glowing green eyes and pale green skin. It stands on one leg, has only one arm and its head is nearly bisected by a toothy grin.

Caapora are strange goblinoid fey that serve as guardians of tropical forests.

A caapora stands about 3 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds. They live in jungles and rainforests, often among neutral-aligned goblins, defending the trees and land from deforestation and overhunting. Given their similar outlook, caapora are often on good terms with dryads if the two types of fey share a forest.

Despite their frightful appearances, caapora are fairly friendly to those who do not wish their forests harm, and they might even give gifts of food or rare herbs to helpful travelers. But woe to loggers, poachers, and others trying to damage a caapora’s forest.

Combat
Caapora initiate combat, when pressed to it, with a goblin dance, and then use their spell-like abilities to disable any foes not having fled. They prefer to avoid direct melee, but they do have wicked-sharp teeth.

Goblin Dance (Su): As a full-round action, a caapora may dance eldritchly, causing all creatures within 60ft to make Will saves (DC 17) or become panicked for 3d6 rounds. This is a mind-affecting fear effect, and other caapora are immune. If a creature successfully saves against a caapora’s goblin dance, the creature is immune to that caapora’s goblin dance for 24 hours. The save DC is Charisma based.

Spell-like Abilities: At will- dancing lights, faerie fire, ghost sound, Tasha’s uncontrollable laughter (DC 15); 1/day- bestow curse (DC 17), blindness/deafness (DC 15). Caster level 8th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

Forest Move (Ex): A caapora can move through any natural undergrowth (including brambles, thorns and vines) at normal speed and without suffering damage. However, magical overgrowth (such as an entangle or plant growth spell) affect the caapora normally.

Leap (Ex): Caapora are expert leapers. They gain a +10 racial bonus on all Jump checks, and do not have to take a running start when jumping. If the caapora decides to use a running start, the jumping distance is doubled.

Interesting creature, vaguely similar in appearance to another creature (I think the gambado?). I'm not sure if the Leap ability would be worded like this, but otherwise, great! :)
