Cab fare in CA?

Well, they have an email address, so I could do it that way.

Edit - the reply was prompt, though not particularly helpful - boiled down to "We don't offer transportation options. Ask your hotel."

I'd be in the same transportation boat if I went out to visit my aunt and her son (in Buena Vista) and going to Star Wars Celebration IV (somewhere in LA-wherever the convention center is...) .... I know they can take a bus places near them, but not sure how far out..... And that he's minutes away from Universal Studios.

So I did - I emailed the Airport Marriott.

They said they'd be more than happy to help, and could arrange a cab, which would be about $90 each way. (Eep!)

Or they could arrange a car service for about $120 each way. (I don't even know exactly what that means, but double eep!)

Or, they said, why don't you stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Buena Park? There's a $20 shuttle to and from the airport, and it's right across the road from the restaurant...

Man, I hate feeling like an idiot :D I had got it into my head "Flying in, flying out... stay at an airport hotel", and didn't even consider alternatives...!

"Car service" is another term for "limousine."

Hey, that works a *lot* better. Wish I'd thought of it!

Or if you feel a little scurvy, you could see Pirates instead of Knights.

Thanks for the tip, and if I were there two nights, I might give it a go.

But I've had my heart set on getting back to Medieval Times for two decades now :)

Hyp, Just make sure to make reservations, or better yet, buy your ticket ahead of time. They do sell out sometimes.......

Though I am sure the could always squeeze in a Kiwi ;)
