When I was in college, we had a bio lab about kidney function. Some people took salt tablets, some took N-Doz. I was in the caffeinated group. I was so hyper I cleaned my apartment when I got home.
4 large cups of coffee in a span of 8 hours? Not good. I was feeling tired and bored an hour ago but now I'm hyper and un-bored. It'll be a miracle if I can get to sleep by 5 am.
I've been a natural insomniac my whole life, sleeping 4-6 hours a night on average.
Add caffeine to the mix? Whoa.
Once, while studying for an exam in Law School, I went to IHOP and ordered the bottomless pot of coffee and a large Iced Tea as my drinks.
I know I had at least 3 glasses of Tea and I finished off at least 1 pot of coffee. When I finally stopped drinking the stuff, my ears were buzzing and my eyes were twitching all over the place. That buzz carried me through the test and several hours after...
Thats a lot of coffee.
Hehe, I have not had any major source of caffeine in over a month and I am doing fine. I still have had chocolate, which has some, but no coffeee or soda.
I tried quitting caffine this past summer. Got it down to 1 liter but the headaches were killing me and when I developed the shakes I immediately got myself some soda. Much better... calmed my nerves... go figure![]()
That is classic caffeine withdrawal- my Dad goes through that almost every weekend.
