I've been thinking about a home brew based off an old homebrew that a bunch of friends and I used to play with back in the day. This game would be set a few hundred years after our last campaign ended, and there would be several changes.
The first is we are intending this game to be low magic. Minimal arcane casting, with a reduced list of spells on both sides of the coin. No teleportation, no resurrection. We may perhaps even limit arcane spellcasting to elves. Okay, I'm straying from the point.
The main point is, after reading a post a while back about astrology and giving benifits based on when characters were born, etc, I was thinking about using it more towards the forgotten realms/OA books idea in the way of either regional feats or ancestor feats. I've been thinking of creating a line of "bloodline" feats. Basically, I want to create probably six different bloodlines (an elvish bloodline, a dwarvish bloodline, a halfling, a gnome, a human "old blood" and a generic divine bloodline that any race could take) and I would do a feat tree of each, the prereq for the next feat being the one before it. I was hoping any of you would have advice about any feats (homebrew or otherwise) I should add. I'm thinking each line will go 4 feats deep (a bonus one at first, and a bonus one every 5 character levels regardless, or they can be purchased with their feat 1/3 character levels). Let me know what you think.
