Well it depends on how you are writing it. Will it be like a newspaper from one of the local towns?

If you are taking the Local paper route you could "dress it up" by posting job offers and local bounties. This would give your players a chance to "see" what quests or dungeon crawls are in the area. If your players stay in an area and make a name for them selves, they should apper in the paper. Of course I took this route on a wanted poster of my old group. They had pissed off the local Baron and he reported his own "death" and thus his loyal, but stupid Captain made up the posters and offered a huge reward for thier capture.

Word find puzzles! Players love word find puzzles! :)

Seriously though, I'd suggest having an out of character section where you can address the way things are going, or even surveys players could fill out and turn in anonymously regarding campaign direction.

But still, you can't beat word find puzzles.

In today’s news, Ms. Tina McKael, priestess of our Goddess Faunna, was found dead today in her hut outside of town by a group new in town, one of which is a dwarf with blue hair. Her close friend Kiril, also a local druid, says he saw her just fine the night before he went home. Kiril was seen with a priestess of Shaedra, the goddess who brings the Endless Winter. Currently those who found Ms. McKael are currently being questioned by Deputy Mayor Syllus as it appears she was a victim of foul play.

In other news, a druid was seen summoning the Mist outside of the Druids Market this morning causing a villiage wide panic causing several locals to get hurt. Luckily no one vanished into the Mist or nothing was summoned.

“If I find that tree hugging sheep screwer I swear I’ll teach him a thing or two!!” said Farmer Jacob Barley in an interview.

It has been discovered that the Mist stays in specific patches and places but certain weather conditions cause the Mist to move to other locations, along with the chance of the Mist summoning creatures, moving people to other locations.

Today’s Trivia Fact:
What color is the small piece of the Dryad’s Tree on display at the Drayad’s Inn. It is now off display until the next issue. As always, if you write to the editor with the answer, you get a prize.

-=Robin’s Rumors=-

Hi folks! It’s time for another round of Robin’s Rumors. It has been whispered that several bodies have been turning up at the mortician’s marked with odd tattoos or markings on the bodies. We tried to get an interview but he was extremely busy with the late Ms. McKael.

Word has also gotten to me that a viscious lycanthropic cat was seen attacking a poor helpless person in the cemetary. Those going to attend Tina McKael’s funeral, please be careful
