The two games I'm in are al-Qadim and Planescape.

Brad

Whoa! Somebody else who plays al-Qadim! Will wonders never cease?

Put me down for a heavily modifed, alternate history al-Qadim campaign.

Thanks to all who have responded so far.

The numbers are very, very interesting - and somewhat surprising.

Cheers!

Merric,

I'm not. I knew from my "Who Likes the Scarred Lands Poll" and added Homebrew a long time ago...and saw Homebrew take a wide lead, this was a homebrewers haven.

Anyway if you're asking me, you obviously don't know me. :p Cause it's Scarred Lands until I'm dead! :D :p

Where were you the last six times this type of poll was posted? It's always, Homebrew, Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Other.....

Every single time you can predict the outcome. I'm curious as to what you were expecting?

One of the things I love about DnD is that it is so easy to homebrew. Yeah Greyhawk is supposed to be the default...but it's easy to sit down and say "here's the nations, and here are the races I want to use...".

But I also play in a FR game and an AU game as well. Once I wrap up my current homebrew I'm thinking of running Midnight.

What surprises me is how low the support for the 3rd party and old-TSR settings is (especially old-TSR).

Most of the polls seem to indicate a great swell of support for Planescape and similar, but it isn't what people are playing!

I'm also interested in how low support is for Eberron is at present.

No, Homebrew being far in the lead doesn't surprise me. :)

Cheers!

I'm playing in:
2 Homebrews, one with a lot of Scarred Lands type stuff in it, but still Homebrew.
1 Forgotten Realms game

I'm running:
A Homebrew
Eberron

Well, I think quite a few people are looking back at their old Planescape and Dark Sun stuff and thinking, "I'd like to play that again, but it's too much work converting it." If there were 3e releases along the lines of the FRCS for Planescape or Dark Sun (and fan/Paizo stuff is nice, but not the same thing), I'm sure there'd be a lot more people playing them.

I'm also interested in how low support is for Eberron is at present.
When Eberron first came out, I saw lots of comments to the effect of "Cool beans! That'll definitely be my next campaign." I'm guessing quite a few people are still running their old campaigns.

I'm playing in a FR game and just starting up a game set in "The World's Largest Dungeon." I was going to do an Eberron game, but my players made me buy the WLD after I had all my Eberron stuff and was set up for that (darn those persausive players!!) :)

It's also because those playing a 3e Planescape game (like myself) are also chipping in votes to Greyhawk, FR, etc because of its inclusiveness. So any given vote for Planescape will be balanced evenly with the big 2 WotC settings of GH and FR while anyone playing those may not necessarily be playing Planescape so the votes get skewed towards the clueless primes there.

If you set up Planescape (including prime worlds etc) as a choice by itself I'd expect the numbers to go up by at least 50% for it.

Plus there's also the conversion issue presentin a hangup for some since it will require a bit more effort to spin than the actively supported worlds. But sweet jeebus is it worth the effort. :D
