I am looking for an OS independent, free software that will allow me to best manage my campaign.
My dream, at least I believe this is really what I want, is that each entity (i.e. a character, an NPC, a temple, etc) can relate to any other entity (i.e. a character's home is the temple, a character's nemesis is NPC). Each entity should have a public information section and a private/DM only section. Each relationship should likewise have public and private information. When I print an entity, I can print either public or private information. I can also print all related information or just the entity information. Likewise, if I print a relation, I want to be able to print either public or private information, as well as the public and/or private information of the related parties. Another spiffy tool would be a visual graph of how things are related, but this is hardly needed.
In database terms, what I'm after is a two database. The first file, titled Entity has the following fields: Entity ID, Name, Public Information (rich text), Private Information (rich text). The Entity Relation file has: Primary Entity ID, Related Entity ID, Relation Name, Public information (Rich Text), Private Information (Rich Text).
I don't know if something like this exists, but its what I need. Any help? Advice? The above is what it needs at a minimum.
