Campaign Web Sites

We periodically have one of these threads, but it seemed like a good time for another one. :)

Do you have a web site for your campaign? What's the cool stuff there?

Mine is a Yahoo group, called Cydra (the name of the campaign world). The cool stuff is in the files section- tons of cool homebrewed spells, feats, prestige classes and so on. There's not a whole lot of setting info up there, unfortunately, because I don't have much of it in digital format (most of that stuff is all old-skool written by hand on binder paper). However, I plan to add some scans of some maps soon. :) Check it out if you'd like.

I've created three campaign websites. They're each designed to give players a point of reference so that they can learn about the campaign on their own time, and come to the games a little more prepared than they otherwise might be. They also serve in a couple of cases as a store of information discovered during the game that turns out to be helpful.

The oldest one is for my primary Barsoom campaign, five years running (or is it six?) and at session one hundred and ten or so.

Then there's the Stewardesses game, which is a website that provides some basics on d20 roleplaying since those were complete newbies to gaming.

And then there's Dead Man's Chest, for my variant Skull & Bones game I ran last year.

I love website design even if I'm not really any good at it, and so designing campaign sites is something I get a lot of fun out of.

I do, but it's small since I haven't finished putting everything in digital format. I'm thinking to start a new one too, but I need more webspace, I think.

Another thread, another chance to tout the benefits of using blogging software for this sort of stuff :)

I find it works quite well for my Enclave setting in any case. I put up information as the inspiration strikes, and let the software do all the hard work of ordering, presentation, searching, etc. It's a good compromise between all the various constraints and goals in my field of vision, anyway. YMMV.

I have a site for my Highland campaign setting. However it is totally incomplete, since i grew tired of the setting before finishing it. I will do one for my next setting, but it will be more of a simple webpage with a few campaign-related documents for download.

Our Pen and Paper campaign uses a message board one of the player's hosts for us. We use it for campaign questions between sessions, reminders of the next session and details of that session, campaign background information, etc. It works pretty well, though some tend to use it more than others.

I have a site for my campaign world, Mythosa. The core material is in two PDF files: a gazetteer for the world and a supplement for the religions. I've been putting a variety of other articles together in a sort of monthly PDF e-zine there as well. In addition the site has all the maps I've put together - the main world map, plus maps for major historical periods, demographics, and other types of information. There are some other articles as well that will eventually find their way into PDFs.

I have websites for my campaigns - should find link in sig for latest one (Barakus). It's a fairly low-fantasy setting; somewhere between pulp sword & sorcery of Elric, Conan and Lankhmar; and British 'earthy low fantasy' a la Warhammer, Fighting Fantasy and Hawk the Slayer(!). Lots of setting info, maps, timeline, house rules et al.
