can a living construct use Cure Light Wounds

Can a living construct, say a Warforged, use Cure Light Wounds (or the psionic equivalent Body Adjustment) to heal damage? If not, what spell/power can heal them?

They can use it, but IIRC spells with the [Healing] subschool only heal half to them; the Repair spells (basically the same as cure but only for constructs) heal them fully. I have no idea how the psionic power would function, as I am not familiar with psionics. I imagine potions operate the same way (e.g. a Warforged can drink a CLW potion but the effects are halved).

Hope this helps.

Wayne is correct, and in addition, there is a PRC for Warforged called Reforged (a simple 3 level PRC) than ultimately removes the Armor Plating (and its positives & negatives) and allows for normal healing and curing effects. It is in Races of Eberron.

pg 23 of the Eberron Campaign seting.

"However, spells from the healing subschool and supernatural abilites that cure hit point damage or ability damage provide only half their normal effect to a warforged."

Isn't there a Feat that Warforged can take that those sorts of spells have no effect. I think it's one that improves their DR.

Not a feat, but the Warforged Juggernaut PrC. Levels in that class make the warforged more like a construct, but less like a living creature, and at a certain point he becomes immune to Conjuration(healing) effects.

Not a feat but a prestige class.

Warforged Juggernaut (prestige class ECS pg 83) makes the warforged more construct like and eventually becomes immune to healing spells and items.

And its opposite (that allows a warforged to become more living).

Reforged (Prestige Class) (Races of Eberron pg 161) – allows a warforged to become more living and thus spells and natural healing work.

So Pinocchio can become a real boy? Or is that Commander Data? I get them mixed up. :D

According to this text, you can use psionics to heal a warforged as normal, because a power is not a spell or a supernatural ability (it is a spell-like ability).

However, this is a strict RAW interpretation. I have little doubt that it not intentional for the warforged healing limitation to be overcome by psionics, and would not allow it in a game I DMed.
