Can anybody give me the stats for an Elven Thinblade?

stupid blackshirt5 posting a thread in my name while using my computer which automatically logs me on when I visit EN World.

He thinks I let him get it that easily for free...in Glassteel no less...he shall see how wrong he is when I finally start the campaign...oh he shall see...:D

But he earned a bit of redemption by rolling up a Henry Rollins-esque rashemi monk to play simultaneously. This'll make for some interesting roleplay.:D

Oooh....that sounds pretty cool, can either of you tell us some more about that character?

And some folks call it a kaiser-blade...

Beware of improved critical warriors with Keen Elven Thinblades, and their 12-20 crit threat range... 2d8 +(bonuses)x2 is a quite nasty thing...

Yep... The move from Martial to Exotic should generally give you one perk-- like increasing the damage die type from d6 to d8, or improving the threat range by one (19-20 becomes 18-20) or allowing the weapon to be Finessable...

BUT ALL THREE?

I really can't decide who's better at designing clearly broken munchkin weapons: Wizards or Mongoose...? :p

It does only give you one perk - it increases damage from 1d6 to 1d8. :D

...which implies that either rapiers are too good, or longswords aren't good enough.

On the one hand, the only people I ever see taking rapiers are rogues and similarly swashbuckly types, so obviously the rapier is not a dominating weapon.

On the other hand, the sword & board fighters seem to gravitate towards the bastard sword, so maybe longsword isn't that great.

In 3e, I think I've seen more longswords on non-fighters than I have on fighters (thanks to elven free weapon proficiencies).

Hmm, one feat for a weapons that's about as good as a MW rapier? ;)

Sure, it gets better when you get a magic one... but still.

WEll, I based the monk off of Rollins, obviously. He's big, he's tough, and he's basically a Boy Scout. He's also a performer, singing when he can, but also doing a comedy routine(where he talks about the Thayan propensity to teleport while drunk to halfling brothels, and slamming his huang in a latrine seat) for money. He wears breastplate armor when he's walking around, but when it comes time for battle, he tugs hard, revealing that it's actually meant to break away, basically held on by string.

When he charges into battle, he doesn't wear robes, even regular street clothes. He wears a pair of black shorts. Just shorts. Even in the freezing cold, he won't fight wearing something besides black shorts.

Awesome, and it's always good to see another Rollins fan. :)
