"Era machinae", probably. What are you planning?

An alternate history campaign set around the late 1800s. The Industrial Revolution went crazy and now there are huge amounts of steam tech. Lots of big clunky machines.

The main known opposition to rise of these technologial terrors are the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas. They posses a knowledge of "spirit magic" in which they can call forth supernatural powers from the earth.

Was thinking about have another form of magic that is like sorcery or black magic (i.e. the summoning of demons/dark arts type stuff). Not sure about this yet though.

Also not sure what I want to do about the eastern world yet either.

Saeculum Machinarum, Saeculum Vaporis (age of steam)
The other common synonym for saeculum is aevum, or occasionally aetas is used in this sense.
If you wanted to be bitterly humorous, you could call it like Aevum Vapidum, literally the steaming age, but the connotation is of of exhaustion, being worn out, or empty, like English "vapid."

[A]Era, curiously, isn't used in Latin as it is in English, though it is sort of a Latin word.

I think it's "Romanus ergo dom".

Why is it that I can't help but think of the scene from "Life of Brian" where the centurion is correcting the isrealite's graffitti? :)

"Does anyone here feel like a little chuckle when they hear the name....?"

Oops. Better stop that right now. :p
