Can anyone remember What Enemies the Hulk had in his comics ?

The Thing was, and still is, one of my favorite characters. He and the Hulk tussled a number of times, seeing as they were the resident Marvel strongmen. The Hulk generally won in their fights, but usually because the Thing worried too much about bystanders and got clocked as he was trying to keep someone from getting hurt.

If I remember the reasoning on that... Why the Grey Hulk was able to heal from that... It was something about the Hulk basically being composed of cancerous cells or something like that. It's been a long time since I read that. :)

Peter David stated that the Hulk wasn't so tough because his skin was armored or exceptionally hard. It was because he healed so rapidly that it appeared as if he wasn't hurt at all and that the Hulk usually didn't even feel any pain because he healed so quickly.

btw, Chun-tzu Wolvie slammed both claws into the Hulk's chest and the Hulk dropped, unconscious. Logan thought he had killed him and walked away. A minute or so later, the injuries healed and the Hulk got up slapped Logan around for his trouble. (Hulk geek cannot be stopped :) )

Good Response to my thread....Thanks !!

Hi All,

Thanks for the interesting read of responses. It would appear that I have not read as many Hulk comics as I had originally thought. I was not aware of so many different Hulk vs....encounters, especially with some of my favorite super heros, never mind enemies. I would like to start a hulk comic collection, as I really like his character, but appreciate the difficulty and money involved, but was wondering if anyone knew of any more recent or up to date "Hulk Comics" that are still in print or circulation. Thanks again all :)

But Doc Samson isn't really a villain. He's been at odds with the Hulk 'n all, but I mean, he's Banner's shrink!

Depends whose side you are on. I was always rooting for Hulk to slap the tar out of Doc Samson (and in the Byrne Hulk comics Samson is responsible for setting the 'rage only Hulk' loose in New Mexico and causing untold death and destruction!)

That is only part of why the Thing generally didn't win. He's also not as strong as the Hulk. I remember that at one point the Thing got mutated further and got stronger, then tried for another rematch with the hulk. However it was the grey hulk, and he outwitted the Thing (which was quite the reversal).

Well, but he didn't mean to. I've always seen him as being an
overall good guy. He has screwed up, but he has helped the Hulk
as much if not more.
