Can Bards counter a sonic weapon

*mon

First Post
I just read a thread about sonic energy substitution. They were saying sonic is overpowered because there's very few sources of resistance.
I was wondering is if, an area of silence, or bards counter song, would weaken, or stop, a sonic substituted spell, or even a sonic enhanced weapon.
Thanks for your opinions.

Silence will as it's stated that it does exactly that.

Countersong will not, as a sonic weapon grants no save.

Although if the bard is already Countersinging, it will work against the deafening effect of a critical hit with a Thundering weapon.
