Can I apply Fiendish template to constructs?

Thank you I was hoping it would have the right ring.... I just didn't want the poor chap getting hate mail NOT earned.
 

I guess if we are being serious, there is a Half-Dragon Flesh Golem in one of WotC modules (I won't reveal which one to prevent spoliers.) If they can be Half-Dragon you can surely be Fiendish.
 

A golem or other construct could be possessed by a spirit, or a creature from the lower planes. I'm sure that sort of thing has been covered before in articles from earlier editions of DnD.
 


On the original question:

I wouldn't allow application of any template to a Construct that affected intelligence - that's just too big a change.

Now, the rules technically allow it, but it just seems ..... wrong.
