Can someone suggest a good Dragon Slaying adventure?

Do you have a favorite published adventure that involved PCs entering a dragons lair and killing it?

I feel like running a scenario like this but I'm looking for ideas. Are there any that were maybe exceptional dungeon crawls with a dragon as the final BBEG? Or any that involved some great roleplaying opportunities?

The edition or level does not really matter. The PCs are about 10th level (3.5 edition) but I don't mind tweaking things to make it work for the groups level & edition.

Forge of Fury, IF you make hunting Nightscale the actual point of the adventure.

For added draconic-ness, change Nightscale to a red dragon (or a gray dragon, changing the breath damage from acid to fire).

Unfortunately the search feature isn't working anymore, but back in June and July I ran a 3-part mini-campaign with a dragon fight each session. The plot was that an evil warlord is prophesied to have to fight a powerful dragon; if he doesn't kill the dragon, his kingdom will fall. So the warlord is looking for dragonslayers he could hire as bodyguards to aid him in the battle.

The PCs are supposed to ingratiate themselves with the warlord, then go into the big dragon fight and find a way to make sure the warlord dies, without arousing the suspicion of all the warlord's allies. Basically, make sure the dragon kills the warlord, then kill or escape the dragon.

First, the PCs had to earn some dragonslaying cred by taking out a blind, flightless dragon who lives in a pitch black cave. The cave is also the burial place of a primordial/titan/elder horror, whose slumber is disturbed by any light source. Basically, if you are illuminated, you take 5 points of psychic damage during your turn. The dragon's trick is that he blindsights and tremorsenses his way through a maze of tunnels, and uses his fire breath to set the PCs on fire, then slinks away, only to attack later from another direction.

Once the PCs kill that dragon, they can get an audience with the warlord, who tasks them to prove their talent by slaying another dragon. This dragon, a necromancer and a leper cursed by the djinni, lives in the desert, and has kidnapped a woman the warlord wants to take as a wife. The dragon intends to sacrifice the woman (a grand-daughter of the djinn who cursed him) to cure his leprous affliction.

The PCs have to take a raft down a river to the temple base of the cult that worships the dragon. From there they must find the dragon himself, who lives in a hot spring. He has magically bound his hostage to a ring directly above a geyser, which triggers if enough magic is used nearby it. Other smaller geysers riddle the area. The PCs have to fight the dragon and his undead minions, while keeping the beast away from the hostage.

If they slay this second dragon, the warlord offers them great riches and fame if they help him slay the mighty wyrm he is prophesied to face. This third dragon is a manifestation of the four winds, and guards a portal to the elemental chaos. The warlord has had his mages construct a swift (but fragile) airship, large enough to carry five or six warriors. The PCs lure the dragon out of the storm clouds, then battle it amid jagged mountain peaks while the warlord's allies watch via magical scrying.

The storm dragon has all manner of tricks, the best of which is tearing the airship to pieces and sending the battle crashing to a perilous cliffside.

The 4e stats of at least two of the dragons are somewhere on the 4e House Rules board. Maybe this would be of use to you?
