This is probably one of those things where you're getting your money's worth.
What I posted here is public record coupled with 15 minutes of research into an area I don't usually cover, plus a dose of common sense & ethics...I deal with music much more often than with digital documents.
If you pay your IP attorney, I'm sure he'll spend a LOT more time doing things like actually reading all those cases mentioned in the Copyright Office's footnotes, etc.
