D&D 5E Can you use Grapple with TWF?

Here's an interesting scenario.

Since Grapple is an attack attack, if I grapple a person, and keep a short sword in my off hand....can I make the off hand attack ala TWF?

It doesn't seem like it. TWF says "When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you’re holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you’re holding in the other hand."

You have to attack with a light weapon in your main hand to use TWF.

EDIT: I think I was mixed up on my Grapple wording, but the TWF wording seems pretty conclusive.

You might be right on the first part, though I would argue the second. An unarmed strike is a light melee weapon.

So, a monk would be able to do that, as his unarmed strikes (and consequently his main hand) are light weapons.

In the 5e weapons table Unarmed Strike does not have the 'light' quality and is also unrelated to grappling.
