Can you use skill focus to achieve other feats?

Shapechanger won't protect you if you're turned into a wooden doll and can't take standard actions. :)

Also consider Goliath (Races of Stone) if you want a more brutish rogue (I used the unearthed arcana variant to trade sneak attack for fighter feats and mixed it with Barbarian levels to make an awesome powert attacking, tripping, pouncing melee menace once). One of their racial substitution levels for Rogue at level 2 trades Evasion for "Mettle of Mountains." You instead get the ability to, on a save, suffer no ill effects from a "Fort save for half" or "Fortitude partial" spell. You also get an untyped +4 Fortitude bonus, which along with the Goliath's racial +2 con makes you automatically pretty good at them. If you hit Rogue 10 and can take Rogue special abilities, instead of Improved Evasion, you can take an ability so that even on a failed fort save, you take only the half or partial effect.

Granted, the Mettle won't help against Poly Any Object specifically, but I'm just putting that out there as an option to look at, too.

If I had the ring of 3 wishes. Would I be able to wish for the "immunity to transformation" ability to enchant another ring I was wearing? If so, I may go this route, although I don't know what I could legally do with wish without something horrible happening. :)

An alternative method: You're a rogue. Stab that :):):):)er to death in his sleep. Seriously, if you need to find actual build advice to stave off other party members, that's messed up. May as well make a pre-emptive strike at that point.

For a slightly less antagonistic way to make him pay, you could take a spelltouched feat. There's none specifically for polymorphing, but maybe in secret with the DM you could come up with one. Barring that, there's always Residual Rebound + some luck feat in C.Scoundrel to spend a luck point to treat a save as a natural 20. I think there's either a feat for that, or one to treat a nat 1 as a nat 20. Considering you can choose to fail a save voluntarily and most people would interpret that as "taking 1"...same difference...

Hmm...there's Momentary Alteration, but that doesn't really help with your problem.

I looked up the feat from C.Scoundrel. It is amazing, but only allows you to use it once a day. :(

Guess that just means I would need to be very selective. Since my character will be using poison. I could use the "Make your own luck" feat to re-roll saves, "Sly Fortune" for hide, move silently check re-rolls. Giving me 2 rolls to work with, one of which may not be used often.

I shall ask my DM what he thinks about choosing to fail a save.

I like this idea, it gives other options as long as I save one re-roll.

Thanks. :)

As far as Epic Magic Items go. Is it as long as you can pay for them you can have and use it?

For instance can a lv. 15 sorcerer use the mantle of epic spell resistance?
