Let's see....

Three groups, each with a paladin and a rogue. So, three of each, I play one of the paladins.

Two witches.

Two wizards.

Two bards.

Two fighters (I am beginning to see a theme here.)

Two clerics.

One inquisitor (and the trend is broken). Sent to keep an eye on my paladin.

One sorcerer.

In the past there has been two rangers, a druid, and a barbarian.

Not a lot of multiclassing. Each party has either one full healer (cleric) and a secondary healer or two secondaries (witch or bard). Not really counting paladins as healers.

From a previous short campaign - two rangers, one barbarian, one witch, one rogue, one cleric.

The Auld Grump, why does this post sound like a word problem in maths class?

If the wizards get one 5th level spell and one additional spell per lower spell level, whereas the witches, bards and clerics get one less spell of each level and the sorcerers get double the number of spells as the wizards, how many 3rd level spells does the group have?

This is why there is always one fighter in any group I've played.

i.e., "Who cares? Grog smash evil wizard before he cast spell!"

In the group I'm in now, we've had two groups of characters and there's always been a Fighter (because the woman playing her isn't much of a roleplayer and more likes to roll dice and kill things) and a Rogue. Those are the only two consistencies between the two groups of characters. There's also a Cleric in both groups, but in group 1, we had a cleric from the beginning and in group 2, the guy just joined and he's been sporadic (at best), so I've been playing the Cleric as well.

The first group was Fighter, Cleric, Multiclass Rogue/Sorceror, Bard, and Multiclass Cleric/Sorceror. For one session, we had a Monk, and for two sessions, we had a second Rogue.

Second group is Fighter (though she's on sabbatical), Barbarian, Cleric (he just joined), Rogue, and Monk.
