Castles box set from 2e/Darkhold [FR]

I just bought Castles used (like new, unpunched castle parts) off of Ebay (airmail from UK was hellish, but worth it). Anyway, I bought it for Darkhold. For 2e, this was a very good product. Why hasn't WoTC redone this concept for 3e FR?

I'd love to see a Lords of Darkness 2 book with Darkhold, Zhentil Keep, and other strongholds of evil updated for 3.5e, explicitly and completely mapped out and detailed. Seems like a no-brainer sales-wise. Pretty much every FR DM would have to buy it.

Anyway, Castles has a 48 page booklet describing every resident of Darkhold including their personal and career motivations, as well as how the zhentarim operate out of it and defend it. Three "Battlesystem" scenarios offer up the chance to run the first takeover of Darkhold (with level 13 Manshoon and level 10 Fzoul, which was when their relationship began to fracture due to evenmts during the seige), plus two more scenarios detailing "what if" Cormyr attacked Darkhold en masse under Azoun IV. There is a big map of Darkhold's walls for seige battles, plus a full color painting poster of the castle.

The other two castles are Castle Hart from Greyhawk and Drungar, the dwarven redoubt from Dragonlance. Each gets a similar 48 page booklet + map + poster treatment.

Then you get about a billion cardboard punch-out castle pieces you can put together to create your own 3D castles or recreate the three from the box set.

A very nice "old skool" purchase to help me run my 3e FR campaign.

Anybody else have any experiences using this box set, in particular, advice on running Darkhold adventures would be appreciated.

I have that boxed set, but I don't remember the punch out castle pieces for building 3D castles. I'll have to go back and check it out.

But I used the layouts for the castles in adventures I made up.
